Creature Codex
A downloadable game
Creature codex is a system-neutral way to create monster outlines, and a simple logic puzzle, solved by players during a hunt. Made for the Eternal TTRPG Jam.
Mostly done with the ideas of the 1991 card game SET! Designed by Marsha Falco.
A monster will be encountered soon!
Try to learn of its Powers, flaws and manoeuvres, the more efficient you are the better prepared you will be, when eventually coming face to face with it.

Made for the Eternal TTRPG Jam.
How can we design games that distribute responsibility for the general management of the game to the players, rather than the GM? How do we encourage system knowledge through designed incentives?
- One way is with time limit, and none open ended options.
- Hidden systems or opaque design, there is both a surface-level understanding and a deeper, more rewarding level of understanding. A classic example is chess; a modern example is the FromSoft Souls series.
