Templar, now available for Shadowdark RPG. 

Templar Class

Archetype: Protecting members of the faith, crossing a desert on a pilgrimage, or delving into forgotten catacombs to retrieve a holy relic.

Core abilities: Melee weapons and armor, Charisma, Smite, Lay on hands.

Design influences: D&D 3rd edition Paladins, Vanilla World of warcraft Paladins, general vibe of what I perceived paladins do when I was a kid.

Mechanic: Wanted to make use of the Priest's Penance, without using any spells.

Potential problems: Possible abuse of Lay on hands. Table spot light: Front liner, charismatic talker, last resort healing.
